I currenly have a community builder based joomla site and am thinking about switching to JomSocial, but need to know if I can migrate my users across. I have set up quite a few fields for user profiles and so would want all that information migrating into the new system. Is that possible?

Jomsocial uses the Joomla user table and then you can add custom profile fields as well, you would need to create some sort of SQL query to move the data between the tables. I'm not aware of any migration tool at the moment i'm sorry

The main thing I want to do is to have JomSocial use the avatar that the user has set, rather than having them have to add a fresh one. It is a shame you don't have an import feature for CB as I know EasySocial does have this.
