I am building a site where I need to tracking where users drop off pamphlets and I wonder how customizable the front end of Jomsocial is. For example I want users to create a profile and "events" has much of the functionality that I want... (the ability to log a description, time, location, etc.) but I would want to change the name of all the buttons and links from "event" to "drop point" and take off all the links and boxes for "invitations," "friends," "groups," etc...
What you are wanting to change is some major things, but very possible. I would recommend you talk with a Jomsocial developer which is a very cost effective way to get this done
