Image Upload in Mobile Create New Message does not work

ISSUE SUMMARY:
(this works fine on windows desktop - this is a mobile issue only)
After accessing the Inbox in JomSocial from a mobile device, (droid or iPhone) - click create a new message - when adding an attachment to the message (size does not matter) - you are able to browse the phone the attachment and initiate the upload but the file does not upload - the 'working' icon just spins
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 from mobile phone
2 new message from inbox
3 browse to add attachment to image and hit done
4 watch it not add the attachment to the message
5
RESULT
file does not attach to the message
EXPECTED RESULT
File to attach to message
BROWSER
Chrome, Safari (mobile versions)

I have upgraded but I still have the issue.
Also message on desktop limits me to photos. I need to share pdf.

please advise.

what mobile spec do you using?
message only can attaching image only. this is by design.

Not sure why you would block people from sharing PDF files in the messaging app.
This 'feature' makes you software useless to us. We have medical community that need to share PDF files.

Hello Mike

Wall library (messages, discussions, photo comments, video comments etc..) does not support file sharing.
it is by design.

Please wait till Jomsocial 4.1 when sharing files in private messages will be possible.


- Don't say feature not working. Instead, explain what you tried and what was the outcome.
- When you think you found the bug, try to replicate it on a fresh Joomla.
- When looking for support always provide temporary Super Administrative access to your site. We will ask for it anyway.
- Help yourself and read documentation which can give you answers to almost all questions you may have
