I tested the registration and found the error.
Your has a a lot if 3rd party extension installed that seems removed but their plugin is still active.
Kindly allow me the check the issue with default Joomla template and Also i have to disable all 3rd party extensions to check this issue.
If it's not your live site I can proceed with testing.
You can also update Jomsocial to latest version 4.5 that has a lot of bug fixes.
Please note 4.5 version has the chat feature that replaces the inbox.

Please test the issue with default Joomla registration. As it does not seems a Josmocial issue.
I tried it but you have redirection on the htaccess that is the issue it always redirects to a different page.
Also, there are php values are not compatible to run the application.
The first thing you should update the Jomsocial as its too older version installed on site, most of the issue were fixed in the new version already.
I have sent the details in PM to them, you can check your PM.

I suggest you to take backup of site and update Jomsocial to the latest version
If you will update it first you need to update it to Jomsocial 4.4
Let me know if you still have this issue after update Jomsocial.

No, the latest version is Jomsocial 4.5
First, you need to manually update Jomsocial to 4.4 and you have the option to add license

After this step, you can update Jomsocial to the latest version. ijoomla installer diconti, long time ago.
Also, check the Joomla register and update the technical requirements of the site that recommended for Jomsocial.

As your membership is expired you need to buy it again so you can download and install the latest packages of Jomsocial.
