Hi, I am new, looking for a way to share files in a event.
For example a routefile which a user can download and import in his navigation system to drive to the event.
Till now I cannot find a way to do so, while this seems to me an essential functionallity.
Please assist me how to proceed.
Regards, Rini

HI, Rini.

Thank you for contacting us.
The only place in JomSocial where you can share a file are groups discussions.
When you create a group you may set to allow share files in discussions.... and also in discussion itself.
Please, check Group options:

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Okay I start investigating that option, could work for me.
Are all extensions allowed? Or can I set allowed extenstions in the backend?

HI, Rini.

Not all extensions are allowed - basically this should follow your Joomla! media manager settings.
