Text Separator in JS Toolbar Configuration Menu

Hello,
I would like to have a text separator in the menu dropdown, but I am unable to select a text separator menu item. I created the text separator menu item and I can see it as I am typing in the module settings, but I can't select it.

I would like my dropdown to look as follows:
Menu Item 1
Menu Item 2
Text Separator
Menu Item 3
Menu Item 4

Could you please let me know how I can select the text separator in the module settings?

You probably mean mod_menu in Joomla! This is Joomla! default menu module.
You need to create menu item in your menu with type "Separator".

Please, note that this question is rather overall Joomla! question.

Hello Michal,

Thank you for your reply, however you have it wrong as to what I mean. I am speaking of the JS Toolbar.

I did create the "Separator" menu item in the Joomla menu. It's when I went into the JS Toolbar module settings to select my menu items that will appear in the gear icon dropdown, I am unable to select the "Separator" type menu item. I can see it in the list of menu items as I type, but I am unable to select it. My question is how can I add a "Separator" menu item in the dropdown for the gear icon in my JS Toolbar?

I'm sorry that I get you wrong.
In JS Toolbar you can only set "active" menu items, that is a menu items that lead somewhere. Separator is just a text and can't be displayed in toolbar.
If you want to have text before certain menu item you may use CSS to display it, by using ::before selector
