Hi,
I'm running JomSocial 4.5, yes I know I should upgrade but I'd really love to get the site in operation first, and I defined a Joomla menu item Register/Login for JomSocial to appear on my main menu. Unfortunately, JomSocial comes up instead of the homepage when I visit the homepage URL; see a demo at: demo.pals.vet . I want the Joomla Homepage to be the default at the base URL. Can't seem to find how to make this change?

Hi
its seems the default menu of your site is Login menu.
You need to set the default menu to home so that when u open the site it will show the Home menu.
