Just purchased and installed JomSocial 4 Pro but it's a total mess.. All the layout I did with Theme Magic was erased and there's no way I can get it back, the default profile pic images, homepage banner.. etc all gone... And I just purchased a new laptop cuz the other one was broken so there's no way I can get the old files ! I need help :(
Also, all modules have been arranged in a bizarre manner, it's like I need to re-make the site from scratch..
Edit: Please go to my site's Theme Magic you'll see a list of errors that I can't even read..
Hi.
I'm sorry to hear that you've done upgrade without making safe copy first... that's really bad.
JomSocial 4 was remade in many places introducing new features and layouts.
Many depends how did you made your customizations...
But please, describe your issues in details, with printscreens and so on so we could help you.... but we'll not rebuild your site or do customization that you've lost after upgrade. I hope that you're aware of that...
I'm happy I found a backup of my site!! Okay I'm saved :P Can you tell me where are the custom made profile pics.. etc saved in the site?
Also please go here and tell me what is that at the top of the page, you'll need to log-in through my log in details given:

HI.
Good to hear that :)
You upgraded Socialize template. It was heavily rebuild and Bootstrap 3 was introduced in this version.
So follow this steps:
1. Uninstall your Socialize
2. Make sure that ALL Socialize files ware removed
3. Install it again
4. Compile LESS to CSS by clicking small caret on the button (in template dashboard) and choose your theme.
Yes, you'll lost your customizations made in Theme Designer so they'll need to be done again.
This should fix your issues with nasty code on article page and in Theme Designer.
Thanks for everything! Only one or two things left.
First thing, check my post right before yours, there's a "Third, there's a weird module that showed up in the middle..." and a pic showing it, I need help with that. :D
Hi Islam,
The image you show for the third question looks like you are refering to the modules being crammed if this is correct i see you have already corrected it on your site. In this post
www.jomsocial.com/blog/js-essentials
look at item 17. Tabbed Modules Can Look Crammed which explains why it happened.
let me know if this resolves all the issuse for you or if there are still outstanding items and i can get the weekend support to take a look.
Actually I didn't mean that xD I want all of those tabs to appear on the sidebar beneath "Profile" for example, but when I tried putting them on a sidebar-1 position they didn't become tabbed they were put beneath each other not in the tabs form like in the pic. Dunno if that's clearer? :)
Hi Islam,
Sorry for the delay we only have limited support on the weekend. Adding the modules into Jomsocial positions like js_side_top will make them tabbed but if you add them to a template position they won't be tabbed. in a jomsocial position you can also add _stacked to it eg: js_side_top_stacked which will stop the tab layout and stack them like normal.
