Hi Voit,

here the error message:

is_file(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/bin/convert) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/.sites/472/site272/web:/home/.sites/472/site272/tmp:/usr/share/pear
solution:
put /usr/bin/convert into open basedir
or
turned off Open basedir from your php setting

my suggestion: turned off Open basedir

Regards

Hi,
I had a talk with hosting team to turn off open_base. They say -

open_basedir cannot be turned off completely, because of security reasons.

There are open_basedir paths configured like this one:

/home/.sites/472/site272/tmp

please tell me where to create folder /usr/bin/convert . my site is in subfolder - motobike.leitwolf

Thanks

Hi,

you no need to create it. but you need to put /usr/bin/convert at open basedir value. please asking your server support about how to add /usr/bin/convert to open basedir.

FYI: with open basedir, you might be got problem with "URL or videos sharing". because your site cannot read external source.

Hi,

I got a reply from my hosting provider.
you can use /usr/bin/convert in all directories of your Webspace.

Now please tell me where should i create the /usr/bin/convert folder. The same place where there is my configuration.php file or somewhere else?

Hi Voit,

you no need to create /usr/bin/convert folder. this folder already exist at your server Operating System.
but you only need put that folder as value in open basedir

I just check your error message, you need to include two folder:
/usr/bin/identify
/usr/bin/convert
in open basedir value.
your open basedir value:
/home/.sites/472/site272/web:/home/.sites/472/site272/tmp:/usr/share/pear

need changing to:
/home/.sites/472/site272/web:/home/.sites/472/site272/tmp:/usr/share/pear:/usr/bin/identify:/usr/bin/convert

please asking your server support how to changing that value

I had a talk with my hosting provider as you said but their reply is :

the open_basedir pahts cannot be changed.
you can use /usr/bin/convert via exec() command for example.

Now please tell me how can I do this with from within joomla php files.
