Is it possible for user activities, eg. (write a comment, image upload, etc.)
to send a e-mail to all registered users . I have setup a cron job (5min). In Joomsocial "Configuration -> Privacy ->
Standard user mails & Notifications all set to on . To date, come unless friendship is offered no e-mails.
Does anyone have any idea ????

Emails and notifications are sent only if recipient is affiliated in any way with activity e.g is member of the same group, someone post on his/her profile or comment his/her activity.

No notification will be generated for non affiliated activity. So no activity will trigger notification to ALL community members.

Just imagine that EVERY activity sends notification to ALL users... :) If your community is active enough you'll end with dozens of emails or notifications.

Look at Facebook, does every activity there triggers notification... or only affiliated activities?
