I have created some demo profiles and accounts and keep getting asked for login info when I try to add content or access content. For example, go here:

mysocialchamber.com/my-social-chamber-de...iscussions?groupid=2

Try to add a new discussion. Once you fill the fields and submit it will take you to a login screen....but I should already be logged in since I couldn't access the page without doing so.

I looked and increased the session length in joomla config but made no difference.

Please upgrade JomSocial to latest version -> 3.2.1.2 and check if issue persist.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Is this a known issue? I can't upgrade without losing my customizations.

Yes. In addition you use old version that has security flaw.

Always make sure that you do any customizations by using template override feature: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Customizing_Template

Core files hacks are strongly NOT recommended.
