We are having issues with the following not being translated:

1) URLs - e.g.

This goes for Photos, Videos, Events, etc.... Pretty much all JomSocial URLs except for:

www.opgroeigids.nl/mijn-details/profiel

2) 4. Kinderboekenweekspektakel Deventer
(Events/Dagjes uit) - This also has "Events" instead of the Dutch "Evenement"
Op 13 oktober 2013 staan de deuren van de Deventer Schouwburg om 11.30 uur wijd open om je een geweldig spektakel voor te schotelen. Tot 15.30 uur kun je genieten van bekende kinderboekenschrijvers die ...

Now I have searched the Forum, Googled and I still can not find a fix for this. How do we resolve this?

I would really appreciate some help on this and I do believe many others would like an answer as well.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi, Andrew Gous.

Honestly your case is quite curious.

1. When creating a menu item I see TWO "Community" menu items sets (see att.)

2. For some reason menu item ID is seized by other menu item with lower ID:

www.opgroeigids.nl/index.php?option=com_...ew=frontpage&Itemid= 145 - this is link for "Community" (main menu)

www.opgroeigids.nl/index.php?option=com_...view=friends&Itemid= 145 - this is link for "Vrienden"

"Vrienden" have it own menu id = 207 so Joomla! should recognize this id and use menu item alias.

So why "Mijn profiel" shows correct alias? Well, it's not. It gets menu id from menu item form "User menu". Again menu id is seized.

The rule is that there should be one menu item linked to certain page in JomSocial. If you wish to have link to that page inn different menu you should use menu alias and point to original menu item in JomSocial.

I tried this in your website... usually this works as gold but this time, for some reason, is not...

So I need your help to investigate that issue. Did you customized some Joomla! or Jomsocial core files?
Do you have any clue why JomSocial appears two times in menu item type list?

Could you try to remove JomSocial menu and all JomSocial related links and try to reinstall JomSocial?
Make a safe copy first.

Hi,

Well, that is interesting indeed.

With regards to this:

"TWO "Community" menu items sets"

I have asked about this issue months ago. Never got it resolved nor answered.

From memory it happened after an update / upgrade of JomSocial. The upgrade did not want to work through iJoomla so the JS support team member said that I should do a install through Extension Manager.

I am still baffled at why there are TWO... We have a DEV site as well, and on there we did the upgrade to 3.1 only recently, there is only a single "community" (all lower case) entry under Menu Type.

I really need these issues resolved. What do you suggest?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi, Andrew Gous.

Ok, so we have to deal with two issues.
Lets start with duplicated menu items list. I think it could be solved by editing DB.
Please add db credentials to your first post... and make a safe copy for both website and db.
I'll try to eliminate second list to avoid any mistakes with setting new items.

Michal,

Thanks...

Can you use MijoSQL to do the SQL work? I have that installed on Joomla.

How would this work affect the LIVE site?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi, Andrew Gous.

No, I need to browse db. Don't worry I'll install another tool to do that if you don't have access to PhpMyAdmin.
Let us hope that will not affect it at all :)
My shift today has ended - tomorrow I'll start at 8 AM from solving your issue.

Please do not cause our site to go off-line. I received a 500 server error.

Can you maybe tell me what it is you would like to check and then I can be of more help to you?

We do have a bit of security on the site and that is probably causing the block.

Hi, Andrew.

I'm sorry. I just install ArtAdmin extension and try to enter it. That's all.
And changed backend template to default. Both things should not awoke 500...

What I need is to access to db... SQL query is not enough (it is useful only if you know what to change... and I don't know id's of additional menu item entries). I need to browse db via ArtAdmin or better with PhPMyAdmin... if it's possible.

Hi, Andrew.

I'll be, thank you. Before I touched anything I prepared a safe copy of your db and site... son nothing will be irreversible.
Now I investigate ;)

Hi, Andrew.

Is it possible to create a copy of your system on your server?
You requested to not work on system when you have presentations... but I need to enable and disable (even delete) some menu items... so I can't do that on living site... so could you set up a copy using Akeeba backup?
