ISSUE SUMMARY:
When submitting new discussions some users get 3-4 mails, I have a testuser that got 3 mails others reporting they got 4 mails. My own user didn't get any mails? And we get a long list of smtp errors, stating one by one email address, that it could not be sent, but still sending mails and a lot of mails......?
Could it be the reason that I changed the notification.php as mentioned in supportcase: www.jomsocial.com/forum/groups/26550-no-...o-discussions#130043 That worked for that other problem though.
I have tried Purged sent and deleted mail queue.

I have just upgraded to jomsocial 4.0.6
Using the sosialize template

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Create discussion in group
2 Submit
3
4
5 check how many mails members get....
RESULT
EXPECTED RESULT

HI Jens

please set Send Email on Page Load = No at jomsocial backend > configuration > site
and make sure your cron job is set to more than 1 minute.

What if we don't have a cronjob or only have one that runs every 12 hours? A free one
Do you mean we have to buy that as well?
And why does it stop working properly?

Hi Jens,

what do you mean with "a free one".
cronjob its free, every web server/hosting must be have. you can configuration it from cpanel.
if you cant find it. you can asking your server support about it.

I suggest you to set cron job interval every 5 minutes.

Regards
