I'd buy it if it was $5. But at $15, I can live without it. Particularly since there are no reviews for it. How do I know it will even work?

I don't get why it is every single birthday mod for JomSocial insists on showing a person's year of birth or age. This mod shows not just the day, month and year or birth but aso the time! Which is wrong anyway cause it's code just copies and pastes it from JomSocial which defaults to a time of 23:59. So a birthday will say: Wednesday, 21st June 1978 23:59.

This mod has a lot going for it. It has a lot of features. But no birthday mod is any good if it cannot display the date properly.

Here's my suggestion:-

Change it so that the Super Admin can turn off year of birth and age. (Or each and every user (in which case the admin should be able to set a default off setting for age and YOB)).

And secondly, if someone's birthday is today, it should just say "Today!"

It would also be great if it could *also* import birthdays from custom profile fields provided they followed a specified format. (Example: FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME, DAY, MONTH, YEAR). That's because there will be occasions when a birthday is not included in the default DOB field. Which is the case in my site.

But whereas my last suggestion is a more personal one, the previous two are vital. I can't use this mod without them. If they are added, this mod is a winner.

It installed okay. But I'm seeing code in the front end where I should see 'headings'. Example: PLG_BIRTHDAYS_AGE: 40

It also shows people who have not confirmed they are my friend, which ain't good.

Finally, I have yet to find a plugin that allows the Super Admin to turn off "age". Most people are happy to have their birthday on the website for all to see. Most would also be much happier not to see their age plastered all over a website for the world to see.

If the above bugs and age issue can be fixed, this plugin is a winner.

It took a while to configure it, but then that was in part because what I needed was so complex. But with Greg's help (a lot of help) we got there in the end. He even added some extra code to make it to one specific thing that I needed. You can't get better then that!
