I am using this component together with Jomsocial and AEC and it just works great. Every user is redirected during registration to choose his profile type which is connected to a AEC-plan and a whole bunch of access-settings.
Installation and setting up of this component is very easy and smooth. I did not need any support so far. If you want to have multiple profile types with different profiles/data published in profile, different access levels to apps and stuf, this component will suite your needs best. Additionally you can sue the AEC integration to set up payment plans for every profile type.

I bought this app with a 30-days support. Installation was quite easy, but it di not working for me. If one clicks on "upload file" a empty window opens and upload is not possible.
I opened a support ticket and they asked me for admin access and ftp access.
I was not willing to provide ftp-access but provided admin access to backend. I asked them why they want ftp access (i never got such a request before when asking for support on any component/app etc). I did not get an answer. I opened anothe support ticket, but did not get an answer in 10 days. Now my 30-days support is exspired....

I am using Jevents and Jomsocial in a very sophisticated business network. Every user has its own calendar embedded in his profile and ever ygroup has its own calendar.
Whenever an evennt is created, the creator has to specify, if the event is visible only to him, to allm user or only to his friends or the members of a certain group.
Thus, Jevents improves the functionality of Josocial and introduces a perfect event management system.
Furthermore the support by the developer is great and he even starts to code a asked extension if it is possible,
