JBolo! is a really cool extension that will integrate Facebook & Gmail like chat into Joomla Websites.
The extension supports showing either a Facebook like chat bar or a Gmail like chat module.
The name JBolo! is derived from the Hindi word 'Bolo' which means to talk. Styled to look like the popular chat on Gmail & Facebook, this application promises to be an exciting thing for Social Networks in Joomla.

I got this, and their updated component has a Facebook-like chat bar on the bottom for logged in users. You can set options for all registered logged-in user to be able to chat with one another...or just friends.
I tried some other chat bar components that worked with JomSocial, like arrowchat, but JBolo! has worked the best.

Just purchased JBolo and I love it, worked straight from the box no hassles, looks way better (especially the black png version) than the others I've looked at, including the way over rated and over priced Comet Chat. JBolo is also great value which when coupled with TechJoomla first rate customer support makes up for the fact that this version isn't customisable, but even that doesn't matter cos it looks fabulous!

Just bought the subscription on this product extension. Installed as instructed. Other than displaying the chat bar/box it did not work. Cannot alert other users, let alone chat. Awaiting the support that was paid for with the subscription, will have to wait until Monday(no support is available on the weekends).
While trying to access the demo. there was an error for Server Error.

Hi - Unfortunately your demo is not working again. No chat users are displayed after multiple sessions logged in. Also, using IE8 I received an error message.

I currently own Comet Chat and you both have positives. I love how you have notification if you get mail and it keeps checking for mail so you don't have to be clicking through JomSocial for the refreshes to check. Your JBolo does that work. The negative which Comet Chat has above you is that no matter where I go in the website, I still have the bar across the bottom with all the information (mail, chat, applications, etc..)

The extension does what it says. Good work.
Few suggestions:
- Include/publish API using which anyone can add links like social bookmarking etc on the chat bar.
- Adding group chat would makes sense a lot as a community site users feel lot comfortable in group discussion rather than one-on-one.
