Is your source code encoded?

No. No part of our source code is encoded. You will have access to every line of the code which you can hack to your liking. The only restriction is that you are not allowed to redistribute the changes.

If I buy JomSocial now, will I be able to download new updates as they become available in the future?

Upgrades will be free for 1 year, this includes all major and minor releases. For subsequent year, there will be a small annual fee to continue downloading the latest release, if you wish. Usage license however, will never expire.

Can I migrate my user from Community Builder?

Yes, we provide a migrator component that will migrate your CB avatar, custom field and custom user data into JomSocial easily.

Does JomSocial do any "Call home" for license checking ?

No. JomSocial does not make any 'home' call to our server or any other server.

I have purchased a license but I need to deploy it on a test site first. Should I purchase 2 separate license?

No, our licensing model does allow you to perform 1 installation of JomSocial on a live site and another installation on a staging / demo / test site.
