Does anyone have any JomSocial template suggestions besides Socialize?

I just installed JomSocial on my site and registered a pretend user to see how it works. Everything went fine, however, I never received the registration email that was supposed to be sent. Is this a function within Joomla or within JomSocial. Any ideas on what I need to do to get the email?
