Many of you have sent us some wonderful messages over the past year telling us how much you love JomSocial and how it has changed the way you manage and interact with your online communities. Your words of encouragement are such a great booster for us and inspires us to work even harder to make JomSocial the #1 social networking component for Joomla-powered websites.

We LOVE hearing your stories, reading your feedback and receiving your emailed testimonials...so much so, that we thought of a pretty unique way to immortalize them all.
INow granted, words are cool...but we want to see those faces!  :)  We want you to tell us why you love JomSocial...video style! We want YOU to be the star of our new JomSocial Video Testimonial Contest.

If you love JomSocial...then this is a super-easy contest to win. All you have to do is record a creative video of yourself giving us the best testimonial about JomSocial--straight from your heart, mouth (and face!) That's it!

Are we seeing smiles now? :)

To make your smile wider, or maybe turn it into a laugh, we are giving away five, YES, five iPod Nano 8GB with video to the winners of this contest! Each Nano is valued at $149 each!

In conjunction with the release of the latest iPod Nano, we believe it is timely that we reward you with this cool gadget now. It comes with video recording, audio mixing, and also helps you get fit and healthy, too! But we'll leave all that to the folks from Apple to show you how.

Five winners will be new owners of these

And there's more..

If your video testimonial is picked to win, we will give you (and your website) a shout-out across our social network - JomSocial blog, JomSocial Facebook Fan Page, Twitter and our mailing lists. Traffic sources from these avenues are priceless and we believe the winners deserve these too!

I personally urge you to hurry as we are also giving away FREE license renewal for existing JomSocial customers, only for the first 20 entries. The first 50 entries, however, will get an extra item - exclusive JomSocial T-shirt to show off to your friends!

Visit JomSocial Video Testimonial Contest page now and enter for a chance to win!

@Pastor John: I would like to do the same for our church's site. It's really a sub-site for our college students, but I'd like to somehow moderate who gets registered and who doesn't. Would you mind sharing the details on how you manage it now? Until Azrul gets to add your suggestion in, that is.

I would like to thank the entire JomSocial team for your efforts and determination to make this component the best it can be. It has brought so much life to our church website.

One suggestion is to add the ability to make the entire network private. In our case we do not allow open registrations to our website, because we would like our JomSocial network to be a safe place for members and friends to connect. So we register every user and send them their log in info. In order to get JomSocial to cooperate I have to remove all option to invite a friend.

If you would consider a one click option in the back end to make the network private that would be awesome. As it stands I have to hack the code for every release to protect our network.

Again, I say thanks for ALL you are doing.
