JomSocial (Mini) product launch tour 2008

Over the last couple of weeks, copies of JomSocial has slowly reached the hands of our testers and has actually went live on several sites. Testing went very well and we have had a good feedback. We have been busy squashing bugs and polishing all the little details.

To kick-start the party, we are launching a short series of meetup where I will make a short presentation and answer your questions  on JomSocial. You will be able to learn more about the internal workings and some hidden tricks of JomSocial.

For the developers, I would also take some time to show how to create simple application and how to use the API, and various libraries and functions provided by JomSocial.

For this first product tour, it will be held in the following location:

  1. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I would also like to see what the hidden capabilities of JS are, but cannot attend a launch. Anyone have some advice or willing to share notes ?

My site has greatly benefited from JomSocial, unfortunately I live on the east coast, US and am unable to make it. My site is truly growing because of JomSocial. Thank You.

@Dominic,

Well, for the 'Kuala Lumpur' mini product launch, it was nothing really worth of video. Just ended a few hours ago, with a bunch of us talking at starbucks sipping coffee.

Terp from the test site...would love to showcase JomSocial on my new site. I am going to use my second MyBlog and JomComment licenses there, so JomSocial will be a perfect site. Let's talk! smilies/wink.gif

OK so the last date is 5th december. Does it mean we should not expect any release before this date ?

Such a pity.

Now we need a release date to make a decision... CB ? Joomunity ? or Jomsocial ?

I love Jomsocial and think it is the best of the three porducts but I also think that I NEED to see the projects I am working on being finished. So I may integrate the first which is released in a stable version (and both CB and Joomunity are at least available right now...)

So could we finally have a roadmap and a release schedule ???

I am very happy to hear that this is in testing. I wish I could be one of the testers.

I am on the East Coast so I am not going to make it to Colorado. Why not do a webcast? Or at least record one of these sessions for the rest of us!

First comment! :O I would love nothing better than to drive out to Colorado, but sadly that's like 12 hours away and I've got college classes to deal with. =( Still, all of this sounds epic to me. Hope everything goes well; lucky are those who get to attend. smilies/tongue.gif
