I have been trying to receive the 4.3 update for about 2 months now to fix the 4.2 problems with categories. I have contacted their support, left numerous posts on their forums and nothing.... If they would at least write back I would be willing to leave a decent review... This isn't "customer service" at all... The download link that SAYS 4.3 is actually 4.2 (open the zip, check file dates and version #'s, they all say 4.2 from October 2010). I never leave bad reviews, but I also hate to be ignored for a "commercial" product. So to be clear, if you download this it will screw up your groups categories and any other categories in Jomsocial although it does add SEO to your member pages... If the problem is fixed I will remove the bad review..

The issues you mention have been worked out on JS SEO TAGS 5.0 and 5.1.
Sorry for our bad support service, I apologize for that. Now we have committed ourselves to improve it to give our customers top quality.
For that purpose, we have redesigned our site, we are upgrading all our products, and we're moving them to the open source GPL license.
